Gillian's Wedding Ceremony
Tuesday, July 6, 2010
The girls spent the morning taking turns getting our hair done. There was only one girl at the spa to do everyone's hair, so we had lots of time to hang out and chat.
We enjoyed some fruit, cheese and crackers, and champagne as we waited our turn.
We finished taking turns getting our hair done right on schedule and headed up to the hotel room to put on some make up. Gillian had her make up done at the spa, which freed up some time for her to help the semi-make up challenged girls.
Once we finished our make up, all the bridesmaids got dressed and ready and then we all helped Gill step into her beautiful wedding dress. The photographer took some pictures and we were ready to go! We were actually ready early, imagine that!
The setting was just gorgeous. Gill chose a spot near the lake where the mountains would be in view for their ceremony. It was HOT, but luckily the ceremony was pretty quick, so we weren't quite dripping in sweat.

The newlyweds!
Gill's three little sisters were all lovely flower girls.
Funny moment: Lliam was the ring bearer for the ceremony. While he didn't carry the rings, he walked alongside Gill's littlest sister as she dutifully fulfilled her job as flower girl. He made it half way down the aisle and decided the flower petals she was sprinkling on the ground looked mighty appealing. Lliam stopped to pick up some petals and I don't think Sonja was too happy about it. Grandpa had to come to the rescue for Lliam.
Gillian, even though the officiant couldn't quite get your name right the first few times, your ceremony was absolutely beautiful and everything you had planned for. I'm so happy I could take part in your special day. You looked stunning! I love you!
