Gill's wedding was at Mariner's Landing at Smith Mountain Lake on July 3rd. It was a beautiful setting! Jeff's parents have a lake house there, so I went down two days early to enjoy some time with Gill at the lake.

On Thursday, just after we arrived, we all got on their boat and went to a restaurant for some lunch. After lunch, we went to a place to go cliff diving, only to find out they were installing a huge "private property" sign just as we were pulling up. Instead, we decided to go tubing. We had such a fun time hanging out on the boat getting some last minute sun before the wedding. After some showers, we all (20 of us!) went out to dinner at a little pizza place and then to Mango's for some karaoke.

Friday morning all the girls went to the spa at the hotel to get our nails done. There were only two girls that do nails at the spa, so it took ALL day for all 7 of us to get our manicures and pedicures. We had to then rush to get ready and head to the rehearsal.

The rehearsal dinner was hosted at Jeff's parent's lake house catered by a local BBQ joint. I imagined they would just cart all the food to the house, set it out, and we'd all enjoy. Boy was I wrong! They hauled their big BBQ grill and parked it in the driveway and cooked right there at the house! It was SO delicious! We enjoyed pulled pork BBQ sandwiches, salad, coleslaw, baked beans, and potato salad.

We had a wonderful couple days leading up to the wedding. I enjoyed every minute of being at their lake house and can't wait to go back for another visit!
