Earlier this month, Steve and I went to our first engagement party. And wow! It wasn't exactly what we expected (there were probably at least 90 people there). But it was beautiful! It was hosted at a gorgeous house in Potomac, Maryland. We rode with a group of friends in a rental van (luxury van, excuse me), so that nobody had to worry about who would drive, etc. At the party, there was food everywhere you turned. On every little table around the house there was a platter of food for any appetizer of your choosing. Also, there were waitresses...WAITRESSES! carrying around platters of food for you to pick off of. There was a wide variety of beverages, whatever you wanted, they had it. Next came dinner. There were tables set up around the house, so after we went through the buffet line, we had a nice sit down dinner. Then came the full range of desserts!



After the party, we all piled back in our "luxury" van with our lovely driver who came to pick us up and headed to Arlington with the man and woman of the hour. It was a great time and a wonderful party. Congratulations, Sam and Kate!
