Yard Work
Saturday, April 30, 2011
Steve and I have been trying our hand at yard work. We're learning lots (mostly that it's expensive to have a pretty yard!) and having fun working together. We transplanted a bush and some big grassy plants that sprout yellow flowers and added a Crimson Pygmy Barberry shrub. Also, we added some Dahlias that I love and some Gerbera Daisies on the porch.
Unfortunately, just after we beautified our garden we had a HUGE rain storm that seemed to kill all the Dahlias. We bought new flowers and transplanted some of the Dahlias to the other side of our garage to see if some of them would survive. To our surprise, they came back to life and were as beautiful as ever! Next time, we'll know to just let them be and not be so quick to replace them.
