We had our final walk through/home inspection yesterday. Things look great! The only major issue our home inspector found is that our thermostat shorts out when you try to switch it over to heat, so the heat doesn't come on. The builders will have to look into that and may have to replace the thermostat, but thankfully we didn't have any other major issues. One of the faucets in the master bathroom leaked a little. There was a plumber still on site and he came right over and replaced a part immediately. The rest of our findings were simply cosmetic and most were fixed while we were there. Now we're just anxiously waiting until our settlement on Tuesday! Even more exciting is the fact that we might not have to pay anything and we might actually be owed money! In the meantime, we're being overtaken by stacks of boxes here in our apartment. All this clutter around me is starting to make me a little crazy. But I just keep thinking of our new house and it's all worth it.
