During spring break this week I have been trying to find lots of ways to occupy my time. Steve and I are currently under operation save money and we're doing a very good job of that. However, it means we have to get creative in finding things to do that cost little to no money. Steve took off work on Monday to hang out with me on the first day of my spring break. We went to Old Town to spend some Gap gift cards that Steve had courtesy of his credit card points. It was misting and not the prettiest day, so we didn't walk around very much. We did stop for lunch at King Street Blues and enjoyed $5 burger Monday. Then I accompanied Steve to Top Golf for the last night of his golf league. He and Bob got second place and won $140! Also, we used the free appetizer coupon that Steve had won the week prior and shared chicken fingers and fries for dinner. See, saving money!

We've even been coming up with different ideas for lunches to take to work since lunchmeat for sandwiches can sometimes be quite pricey. Some meals can serve as dinner with leftovers being perfect for lunches. I have been busy cooking:

We are getting quite restless waiting for the builders to begin working on our house. This waiting game is really hard after a while. Once they begin digging the hole for our house, they tell us we will have 120 days left to wait. To aid us in counting down those 120 days, we made a paper chain! Once the work begins on our house, we can rip off one link a day to look forward to settlement and moving in!

The chain is quite long, which is a little unsettling, but once we are able to start ripping links off it will be much more fun! That's a picture of the model home at the end - filling in for our soon to be house.
